Beginner Bootcamp Friday Night
Location: Shirley’s Dance Studio
The tools you’ve been missing to get the dance you’ve been craving.
Myles Munroe and Tessa Cunningham Munroe are West Coast Swing (WCS) Champions based in Vancouver, Canada. Since 2002, they have been ambassadors for modern, authentic West Coast Swing: teaching, judging, performing and competing globally. Their comedic approach and accessible delivery of quality foundational technique inspires and empowers students of all levels.
Event DJ
Professional west coast swing DJ, Michael Lambert, will be joining us to spin tunes and keep us dancing all weekend long! This is also going to be Michael’s first time DJing in Canada!
Starting with making mash-ups and doing audio mixing at 14, Michael moved into West Coast Swing DJing at Louisiana socials and competitions in 2018. He has now been DJing professionally for the better part of a decade at events across the US, and has one of the most followed weekly playlists in the West Coast world. With a focus on flow, variety, and having as many layers to dance to as possible, there’s something for everyone in his sets.

Friday Beginner Bootcamp Pass
Beginner Bootcamp $40 – If you are new to WCS (have never danced WCS before, or have been dancing WCS for less than 3 months) this option is for you! Includes bootcamp and social dance on Friday, and the evening workshop and social dance on Saturday.
Weekend Pass Options
The following weekend passes are available to purchase prior to the event or at the door.
- Full weekend pass $185 – If you have been dancing WCS for at least 3 months, this option is for you! Includes all workshops and social dances.
- Saturday-only pass $100 – For WCS dancers with at least 3 months of experience. Includes Saturday workshops and Saturday social dance only.
Social Dance Pass Options
The following social dance passes are available to purchase at the door.
- Saturday evening workshop and social dance $25
- Social Dance only (Friday or Saturday) $20
